Welcome to North Rim!

North Rim is a community of 296 condominium homes nestled on a sloping hillside overlooking Mission Valley. The land once belonged to an Episcopal boarding school, the San Miguel School for boys. But shortly after Francis Parker Middle/Upper School purchased the campus in 1971, its board of trustees authorized the sale of a portion of the property—the portion that soon become North Rim.

Completed in 1980, North Rim’s amenities include a pool, spa, clubhouse, and three lighted tennis courts. The community is prized for its central San Diego location; its park-like setting is just minutes from several major freeways, downtown, shopping, and beaches.

One of North Rim’s unique features is its expansive greenbelt on the south end of the property. Stretching from the southernmost units of the community to the canyon rim, the greenbelt area is what draws many residents to purchase a home at North Rim. It’s an area where neighbors gather to picnic, visit, walk their pets or simply enjoy a summer sunset.

North Rim today is a vibrant community with an active group of volunteers who serve in many capacities to maintain and enhance both the physical structures and the quality of life enjoyed by its residents. With an eye to the future, the board of directors is currently embarking on a long-range plan to update the landscaping with drought resistant native plants.
